“...thus, have We made of you an Ummah justly balanced, that ye might be witnesses over the nations...” (surah Al-Baqarah; 2:143)
Contrary to common opinion, spirituality is not a justification for subpar performance or mediocrity. Academic achievement is fostered by devotion to and commitment towards the God-given tasks rather than academic failure. Excellence and Achievement for a Muslim student is determined by both academic advancement and spiritual affluence. One must be able to make a difference in people's lives on campus while still achieving and maintaining great academic success.
Muslim students' underlying issue of abstaining from campus MSSN activities is caused by the difficulty of academic achievement that exasperates them. Academic achievement is now the main cause of most Muslim students' spiritual estrangement from God. Those who understand it do not have faith, while those who have the faith, appear to be far from it despite their best efforts.
It is pitiful to see students struggle academically who are zealous, fervent and enthusiastic in the worship of Allah. They have a significant effect in Da'wah, but do not carry it over into their academic work. Despite not being successful themselves, they teach others the secrets, principles, and techniques of success. They are losers due to their academic shortcomings. This is reprehensible and needs to be addressed right away since it has misrepresented both student life and the Islamic faith to a large number of individuals.
It might be difficult to reconcile your studies and spiritual life when you're a devout and committed Muslim student, especially when you're in college. In college, the workload might be excessively hard because you have to keep up with your studies, exams, and even your friends. Allocating time for your spiritual requirements becomes more difficult since you don't want to be inconsistent with your spiritual practice. Some Muslim students claim that when they try to balance their two lives, either their academic performance suffers little and their spiritual life shines, or vice versa. However, when the two lives are carefully balanced, a Muslim student can achieve in both their studies and their Deen.
This article presents you with some ideas you can use to get the ideal balance between school and spiritual life and excel in both lives.
As a devout Muslim and academically driven student, you should refrain from participating in too many extracurricular spirituality chicago and philly activities. There is a good likelihood that a freshman may become overexcited while participating in numerous university events. You may feel pressured to join an university sports team, a club at your institution, or other extracurricular activities that bring you joy. But after lectures, you won't have time left over for your spiritual requirements because these will take up most of your time. As a result, it is advised that you choose activities that are consistent with your Islamic life goal. This ensures that you stay on track and maintain your concentration on your academic and spiritual lives.
Having too many superfluous unnecessary and pointless friends might cause you to give up on both your academic and spiritual pursuits. This is especially true if you have pals with whom you do not have comparable objectives. You will lose time and be diverted from your spiritual life if you have too many of these pals, and you risk cageing your Islamic life. You need to elect your friends wisely as it is important because some can be parasitic and deceptive.
Choose godly companions who will support you in both your intellectual and spiritual development. It is important to remember that friends have a significant amount of influence, and the companions you choose in life may affect both your academic and spiritual success.
Keeping up with lectures, routine quizzes, examinations, and presentations in a relatively short amount of time can be daunting challenging throughout college. The majority of students find it difficult and look for strategies to cope. They participate in exciting events like college parties and other get-togethers that occasionally other students plan. You are not immune to these difficulties because you are Muslim student; in fact, they may even be doubled for you, making these enjoyable activities even more necessary.
While occasionally, having fun is excellent, you should be careful not to spend too much time on unimportant activities. It is suggested that you enjoy yourself while doing something worthwhile. Always keep in mind that you are a devout Muslim, and that whatever actions you take should reflect that. These are some suggestions that, in my opinion, might keep your spiritual life strong while you're in college.
