Our nations in Africa are blessed with more spiritual leaders than industrialists. Our modern-day ventures are to trade people by religious codes. 

The worship centres are almost entirely unregulated, and it impoverishes people more than empowers them. Most religious circles in Africa are driven by lies and false prophesies, yet we worshipers are most comfortable with the sycophancy of the religious leaders. So, as religious nations hived in Africa, are we heading to heaven or hell?

Cross-examining the function of religious belief in Africa and other countries, you will agree with me that we are more religious in Africa, yet our deeds are contrary to the teachings of the religions. 

We have more incapable leaders and more ignorant followers in the religious circle. To ensure our religious leaders are in conformity with religious ethics, we must consistently check them and other religious personalities. We have got more worship centres than industries. This is a common peculiarity in Africa.

We must understand the wide margin between worship and prayer. Worship is an outpouring of devotion to God. Prayer, on the other hand, is a kind of connection with God. It literally translates to “talking to God” or “thanking God.” Prayer is based on spirituality, whereas worship is centred on ritualism. This is a common misunderstanding among religious people. 

We may never be able to perfect the act of worshipping God until we master the art of communication with our Creator individually.

We must understand the need to redirect our energy from all excessive religious engagement to industrialization and the development of our nation. We must see the value in service to humanity, as it is the true essence of religion. 

We must understand that religious centres are expected to protect the weak, poor, and low-life as opposed to taking advantage of them. 

We must recognise the importance of collectivism rather than segregation in worship centres. 

We must acknowledge that we are all descendants of Adam and Eve, our first parents. 

We must understand that religions are not meant to fight each other but rather live in harmony and peace.

The rich must empower the poor, the knowledgable must educate the illiterates, the strong must protect the weak, the privileged must support the less privileged, and the leaders must be just to their followers. 

Else the value of the region is therefore fortified. 

We must understand that someday, somehow, and some time to come, we will live no more. 

A question we must always ask is whether we are heading to hell or heaven.
